Focus and concentration are powerful things. When you are able to focus your energy, you can bring about any result you want. You can manifest anything. When you focus and concentrate your energy on a goal, you automatically begin thinking about it and taking steps towards it. The more focused you are, the faster you will be able to achieve it.

Here are 10 tips to block out all the noise and quiet your mind

Start your day with a plan. Start out with a plan. It doesn’t need to be very involved. If you’re not a big fan of detailed planning, then a simple list with three top priority tasks written on a pad next to your computer will help you start your day with a focus.

Get Back to Nature – Take a walk. Our brains can’t sustain hours of intense concentration without breaks. Be sure to schedule breaks throughout your day. A walk or 15 minutes of yoga can do wonders for refocusing the mind.

Cultivate a garden. Gardening is a great way to slow down and appreciate nature. Devote a section of your backyard to growing flowers and vegetables. If you live in an apartment setting, select plants that will flourish indoors or on a balcony, like some species of palm trees and herbs.

Spend time with animals. Spending time with animals is so therapeutic it’s even been proven to help people recover from surgery faster. Take your dog for a walk. Watch your cat at play. Sign up for horseback riding lessons.

“Empty your mind; be formless, shapeless – like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup; you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle; you put water into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” – Bruce Lee

Change the scenery. If you’re inside, go out. Upstairs? Go downstairs. The important thing is to move away from the desk or computer you’ve been glued to and focus on something else.

Picture your mind as a blank canvas or a dark sky. Allow your thoughts to come and go, but resist the urge to follow each one. Your brain will eventually slow down and you will feel less pressured.

Create gadget-free zones. While our gadgets are meant to save us time, many times they actually waste it. Practice concentration by turning off all distractions and committing your attention to a single task.

Meditate. The ultimate technique on becoming friends with your mind.

Get enough sleep. At the risk of sounding like your mother, it’s true that when you’re well rested, it’s easier to concentrate.

Eat healthy. Limit sugary or processed foods as these will lead to an energy slump.

There are tons of other ways to help the mind to focus. What is important is that we never forget to just let it all flow. Empty your mind; be formless, be shapeless. Be water, my friend.
