We all know a person or two who are simply always on time. How do they do it? How early do they get up? If you are always late and want to make some changes, do not worry. You are in the right place. And just in time as we are about to start.

  1. No procrastinating

Punctual people simply show on time and they do not consider troublesome if they have to wait a little. They know that they will be under stress if they are late so they never procrastinate to remove that stress completely.

  1. They are completely organised

Punctual people take punctuality as a way of life, their own little lifestyle together with all its perks and benefits. They always keep their calendars up-to-date and schedule things with some free time in between just to avoid possible overlapping.

  1. They use buffer time

What is buffer time? Simple, if you need 15 minutes to go to work, take 5 minutes more to make sure you will get there in time. That 5 extra minutes is buffer time which you use in cases where you can´t find the parking, forget something etc. Even with the issue that you had, you will still be there on time.

  1. They know how long things can take

This is closely related to buffer time but in order to determine the buffer, you need to know how long the task that you are buffering will last in the first place. When you imagine a perfect meeting, you imagine it without any delays, interruptions or changes and meetings like this occur almost never.

  1. They do not mind to wait

While taking buffer time, sometimes they arrive a bit earlier. They simply take a book and read or simply prepare for the task ahead.

  1. They have downtime

Waiting can be seen as downtime and most business people hate downtime. Punctual people, and successful people in general, use that downtime to do other tasks such as replying to e-mails or having a follow-up phone call with their client.

  1. They wake up early in the morning

In order to be punctual means to be on time with all the deadlines. This means that if they need to wake up at 8am, they will do exactly that.

  1. They sleep easy

Punctual people who wake early do not have trouble sleeping and are known to sleep easy in general. People who procrastinate things, procrastinate sleep as well.

  1. They are not rushed

When you are not risking being on time you don’t need to worry while you are on the way there, so you don’t feel rushed. By doing so, they reduce the stress because they know that they will arrive on time even if something unexpected comes up.

  1. They hate when you are late

When you are punctual and arrive always on time, you hope that others will do the same. If someone is agreeing to meet up with you, the least you can do is not waste their time by being late.
